Credit Controller - Nursling, Southampton
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £27,500 Depending on experience
A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Credit Controller at our Nursling, Southampton.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure customer accounts are paid to terms and chasing payment for overdue debt
- Communicate with customers to ensure payments due to us reconcile with their account and payment is due to reach us on time
- Contacting customers by telephone to chase overdue debt.
- Review accounts on the credit chase letter report as required, contacting customers by phone to ascertain why payment has not yet been sent
- Supporting the Sales Ledger team with admin duties
- To build up a knowledge of the customer base and where possible achieve a rapport with the accounts contact.
- Review credit limits when prompted by Point of Sale to assess whether further credit can be allowed on the account up to your level of authority
What we need from you:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferable
- Familiarity with accounting systems within previous work experience (ideally Autoline)
- Deep knowledge of Excel and Word
- Effective communicator
- Attention to detail
