H B Clark, a leading wholesale supplier of beverages, has recently taken delivery of a New Generation DAF XF tractor unit and three DAF LF curtainsiders.

The new vehicle delivery was the first of a batch of ten new vehicles to replenish and expand their fleet from North West Trucks Huyton, consisting of eight new DAF LF 16t 4x2, one DAF LF 12t 4x2 curtainsiders and a New Generation DAF XF 480 FTG 6x2 tractor unit.

Part of the Kitwave group, H B Clark was founded by Henry Boon Clark and has been family-owned since its 1906. Operating eight depots throughout the North of England, they have a fleet of 41 trucks and this new order will take their fleet to 100% DAF.

H B Clark Operations Manager, Darren Williams explained: “We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, and we are committed to investing in the best equipment and technology to ensure the smooth operation of our business. These state-of-the-art vehicles will allow us to continue to efficiently transport our products to retailers nationwide.”

Their DAF LF 16t 4x2 curtainsider was completed in conjunction with Tekbo Ltd in Glasgow who were pivotal to the overall finish of the truck by building a 6415mm long body with branded digital designs of H B Clarks trusted suppliers. The bodywork was also designed with a bespoke load restraint system engineered by Tekbo to H B Clarks own specification.

Taking delivery of their first New Generation DAF XF, the truck has been designed to benefit both operator and driver including: High roof sleeper cab painted in H B Clark colours, kerb view window in passenger door, DAF digital vision system, automatic climate control, exclusive DAF infotainment system, wireless phone charging, super luxury driver’s seat, cinema passenger seat with table, alcoa dura bright alloy wheels, twin fuel tanks and extra-long catwalk and step.

Darren Williams continued: “The overall cost, fuel efficiency and overall reliability meant the New Generation DAF was an obvious choice. Our New Generation DAF XF has been specified with a range of options to ensure ultimate comfort to retain our drivers. Whilst we still operate a majority LF fleet as an optimum solution for our town deliveries due to the urban cab and drivability, our New Generation DAF provides the next level for our transportation needs.
