Ford & Slater, one of DAF Trucks’ largest and most successful UK dealer groups has taken on the franchise to deliver Sales, Service and Parts at locations in Leeds, Sheffield and Stockton-on-Tees.
 
The appointment by DAF Trucks means Ford & Slater replaces Evans Halshaw as the main DAF Dealer at all three sites. The new locations integrate with the dealer group’s existing northern location in Birtley, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Local operators are assured of a commitment to deliver high service levels with the transfer of over 150 existing Sales, Service and Parts employees under TUPE regulations.
 
Ford & Slater invested over £2.5 million in the first half of 2022 to open its state-of-the-art DAF Service and Parts facility in Birtley. The addition of these three further dealer locations bolsters Ford & Slater’s presence in the North and North-East of England and continues the company’s commitment to a DAF-only brand offering across its 16-UK dealer locations.
 

With his considerable senior management experience at dealer level across the DAF network, Huw Teasdale is appointed as Ford & Slater Regional Director, bringing with him a wealth of local knowledge and an excellent reputation at customer interface level.
