£750k Upgrade for Motus Commercials Hereford

£750k Upgrade for Motus Commercials Hereford

14th February 2022 |

DAF Trucks dealership, Motus Commercials Hereford, has undergone extensive refurbishment work as part of a £750k improvement programme.

The site on Moreton Business Park sees around 135 routine inspections and 150 repair jobs through its workshop on a monthly basis, including driver-waiting repairs if customers require them. The volume of work has led to the need for more space and facilities throughout the dealership.

Officially unveiled at opening events on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th February 2022, Motus Commercials Hereford now boasts:

  • A 6 metre extension to the existing pit
  • 2 extended workshop bays to allow full truck and trailer combinations
  • New Tachograph Calibration Centre
  • LED lighting
  • An oil delivery system
  • A two-level parts department with increased holding capacity
  • Vehicle wash with ramp
  • Extended opening hours from 6 am until 8 pm Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings

Daniel Fitzjohn, Regional Director, reflects on the upgrades and what they mean for the team:

“We have created a completely new working profile for the site at Hereford, bringing it in line with the modern look and feel echoed across the DAF Dealer network.

“The benefits of the improvements are wide-reaching, for our technicians, the wider team and our customers. Hereford can now stock more DAF and TRP All-Makes truck, trailer and van parts; truck and trailer combinations can be accommodated in the workshop for servicing on an inspection pit, which was not possible before; and improved lighting allows for better working conditions and easier vehicle inspections and repairs. There’s also the steam cleaning ramp facility which will allow for vehicle under-washing, which is of great benefit.

“This is a great step forward for Motus Commercials Hereford. It is now a clean and well-maintained facility to be proud of, with the experience for both colleagues and customers greatly improved. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product.”
