Highly respected commercial vehicle industry parts executive, Glen Crompton, has joined DAF Trucks as Parts Marketing Manager with responsibility for DAF genuine parts and for TRP – the company’s highly successful, all-makes truck-and-trailer parts brand. Glen replaces long-serving Stewart Davies who retires from the company.
Glen’s remit is to enhance the already successful position of both the DAF and TRP brands in the highly competitive CV aftermarket sector. With the support of the DAF Dealer network – the UK truck industry’s largest and arguably best dealer network – including a growing network of dedicated TRP Shops, Glen is tasked with developing an accessible product range delivered through innovative digital marketing tools and promotions. For mixed fleets, Glen’s focus will be placing the TRP brand front-of-mind.
With 24 years’ experience in Independent Aftermarket and 13 years specifically in the commercial vehicle sector, Glen has enjoyed success at various levels of senior management, notably with Brown Brothers, Partco and Unipart-owned Truck & Trailer Components (TTC).
