An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Greenhous DAF as a Parts Van-Based Sales Representative, covering our Midlands and Shropshire region.
If you’re a driven, customer-focused sales professional who thrives in a field-based role, this is your chance to play a key part in keeping our customers’ fleets moving while helping us grow our market presence even further.
In this new role, you’ll be at the frontline of our parts operation building strong relationships, winning new business, and maximising opportunities to sell HGV parts and consumables directly from your van across the region. Your energy, sales ability, and consultative approach will directly contribute to the continued success and expansion of Greenhous.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.30 pm, i.e. 45 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).
Salary: Dependent on experience (will be discussed at interview stage).
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Relationships
- Proactively sell HGV parts and consumables from your van during face‑to‑face customer visits whilst also ensuring the right parts are ordered for their fleets.
- Actively follow up on all leads and enquiries, proactively prospecting and assessing new and existing customer accounts to maximise growth opportunities.
- Promote the latest product offers, campaigns, and services to customers and prospects.
- Work closely with the telesales / Executive team to ensure smooth communication around quotes, orders, and deliveries.
- Represent Greenhous DAF at trade shows, corporate events, and industry exhibitions.
- Escalate opportunities, challenges, and improvement ideas to the Group Parts Sales Manager.
Product & Market Expertise
- Stay up to date with the latest HGV parts, features, and technical developments.
- Confidently handle technical queries and position solutions that add real value.
- Keep an eye on market trends, competitor activity, and industry changes.
Targets, Reporting & Growth
- Actively contribute to sales meetings and strategy discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, opportunities, and outcomes using internal systems.
- Attend training sessions to continuously build your product knowledge and sales skills.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- Essential: Proven face-to-face sales experience.
- Advantageous: Experience in HGV or automotive parts field sales.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results driven.
- Technical knowledge of HGV or automotive parts.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative team mindset.
Preferred:
- 2+ years’ direct sales experience.
- 2+ years’ B2B sales experience.
