North West Trucks, a DAF Trucks dealership group based throughout Knowsley and the North West, has been awarded a Working Well Gold Standard by Knowsley Chamber of Commerce.

The Working Well initiative, which is funded by Knowsley Public Health and delivered by Knowsley Chamber of Commerce, is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the Borough’s workforce. It provides businesses with health and wellbeing support, programmes to boost physical and mental health and resources to make healthier choices in the workplace.

Simon Davies-Rice, Dealer Principal at North West Trucks, explained: “Working Well is something we are incredibly passionate about as a business and I am extremely proud of the team who have implemented and embraced health and wellbeing schemes throughout our business.”

Such schemes include the introduction of Mental Health First Aiders and an independent Employee Assistance Programme which provides employees with 24/7 phoneline support for mental, financial, physical, and emotional wellbeing to ensure every member of the team has ongoing support and assistance whenever they need it.

It is this passion for Working Well which saw North West Trucks awarded the top Gold Standard from Knowsley Chambers. Lesley Martin-Wright, High Sheriff of Merseyside, attended North West Trucks’ Huyton dealership to present the award to Katie Aiken, Head of Compliance and HR, North West Trucks, along with a special tour of the dealership.
